Motorola's SURFboard wireless cable modem incorporates gateway, firewall, VPN, and WEP security features. Art & Logic developed an API which allowed cable service providers to customize the interface at runtime, selectively hiding and showing content and changing fields to read/write or read-only. The interface was integrated with a customized version of the GoAhead Webserver and Art & Logic's own Device Management Framework.
Beat Kangz Electronics hired Art & Logic to create the firmware for the Beat Thang, a new groovebox aimed at the hip hop market. The project also includes a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) plugin for Mac OS X and Windows called the Beat Thang Virtual. It is available at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and online.
Pockettales offers authors the ability to convert published works into apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. The company hired Art & Logic to build the deployment technology for converting PDF documents to conform with the special requirement of the iPhone.
Art & Logic developed a suite of web applications that provides Harcourt's Reading and Math Assessment Tests to elementary school students across the country via the internet. The applications enable school superintendents to create Teacher accounts, who in turn can create Student accounts, create classroom groups, assign tests to students either as a group or as part of their individual development plans. After the initial phase we developed a website and a mobile WAP site, which serve as entertainment resource gateways. M Financial Group hired Art & Logic to develop a native BlackBerry application to allow clients to access contact information hosted by third-party data providers. Users can log into the application, search for contacts, and view detailed information about those contacts via web services published by the data provider. Users can easily phone or email their contacts by clicking hyperlinks that invoke the corresponding BlackBerry applications. The application also utilizes BlackBerry GPS capabilities along with Google Maps to provide directions to a contact's location from the user's current location.
This innovative system allows access to your important medical information at any time or location. The MiCARD system includes a small rechargeable battery powered card with a color viewing screen and web-based software for loading the card with personal health information. The system works in conjunction with Google Health® and other personal health system providers.
The Office Exec software intercepts print requests from any application and allows the user to specify print, fax, e-mail and storage parameters for the job. The client software then sends the print job via TCP/IP to the server software running on Windows 2000 Server, where the job is routed to the appropriate output device based on the job parameters. NeoWave Institute hired Art & Logic to develop one of the first socially responsible iPhone apps to allow a user to reach out to family, friends or a cab to request a ride when a designated driver becomes necessary. A user can configure Designated Driver to send messages to up to 5 recipients. Each message includes a call back number and a Google Map link to the user's location. Alternatively, the user can click a button to contact a national taxi service to request a taxi if friends are not available or not willing to come get them.
Virgin HealthMiles hired Art & Logic to port their existing Windows-based GoZone iSync software to Macintosh. Virgin's GoZone pedometers connect via USB to a user's computer. The software retrieves data from the pedometer and uploads it to the Virgin Health Miles website. The number of steps you take each day is rewarded at certain daily level of activity.
PasturePool.com enables golfers to track their golf scores, handicap, greens in regulation, putts, up/down percentage, and more. The PasturePool native iPhone application allows PasturePool subscribers to record their golf rounds while offline, and then upload them to the PasturePool.com website where they are available for reporting and analysis.
