We contracted out the majority of the development of a parser for Grass Valley Group Kalypso Digital Production Switchers to Art & Logic.
The complex code was of very high quality, well documented and delivered on time. In fact, I eventually adopted a structure for future switcher parsers analogous to that developed by Art & Logic.
The Art & Logic programmers worked with me to ease the integration of the parser into our main application, accomplishing the bulk of the task in a single one-hour telephone call. As various issues came up, they responded quickly and competently to technical queries.
I cannot stress enough the value in the quality of their code. Not long after the delivery, and with minimal effort because of hooks left in by Art & Logic plus telephone and email support, I was able to expand the parser functionality to include the routing function of Kalypso systems.
Another aspect of the quality delivered was the extensive test code included which I believe was a major factor in the code working right the first time it was installed.
As other Kalypso & Zodiak models came out, Art & Logic readily consulted with me and others as we upgraded the parser while under the gun at a new installation.
