Mobile Movie Showtimes

Terry Hines & Associates hired us to create applications for viewing local movie showtimes. We began by designing an SMS based search tool, to be used as a part of our client's motion picture marketing campaigns. After the initial phase we developed a website and a mobile WAP site, which serve as entertainment resource gateways. We began by designing an SMS based search tool, to be used as a part of our client's motion picture marketing campaigns. After the initial phase we developed a website and a mobile WAP site, which serve as entertainment resource gateways. We also developed an SMS subscriber list management tool, and a number of web services and Flash/HTML widgets that can be embedded in other sites. More recently, we created an iPhone version of the WAP site, where users can look up movie showtimes, view entertainment news and gossip, or information about the films themselves. We have also added a feature where SMS or Flash requests can triggered a return voice message, and added an online community to the WAP site.

Designated Driver iPhone App

NeoWave Institute hired Art & Logic to develop one of the first socially responsible iPhone apps to allow a user to reach out to family, friends or a cab to request a ride when a designated driver becomes necessary. A user can configure Designated Driver to send messages to up to 5 recipients. Each message includes a call back number and a Google Map link to the user's location. Alternatively, the user can click a button to contact a national taxi service to request a taxi if friends are not available or not willing to come get them.
