Art & Logic was hired to create an online transcription service for Rapid Transcript. WaveScribe is a web-based mechanism that coordinates the transfer of data between medical professionals and online transcriptionists. Medical professionals upload voice data to the system. Transcriptionists log onto the WaveScribe application from a standard web browser and view the voice files as pending transcription jobs. WaveScribe provides the necessary administrative tools to Rapid Transcript editors to approve the transcriptions, track performance of transcriptionists, and to arrange proper compensation to those providing the service.
