Web Interface for System 5000 Router

Before Bay Networks was acquired by Nortel in 1998 their in-house team experimented with developing a web-based management system for their System 5000. They concluded that the project was quite different from a traditional web design project. When they searched for an outside team with the right specialization Art & Logic got the call. Starting with the in-progress system, Art & Logic added the Advanced JavaScript Control Suite, giving the interface cross-browser compatibility and a palette of controls suited to device management. Starting with the in-progress system, Art & Logic added the Advanced JavaScript Control Suite, giving the interface cross-browser compatibility and a palette of controls suited to device management. Nortel requested graphics and usability enhancements. Art & Logic worked closely with their team to create a unique color theme selector. The System 5000 prototype was not available during development, but its sophisticated management interface was successful because of Art & Logic's extensive prior experience with similar devices.
