Art & Logic was hired to develop Seize the Deal, a website that delivers regional targeted marketing to users in the form of a "deal of the day". Affiliated vendors offer substantial discounts on products and services in exchange for a guaranteed bulk sale. Users can select their target region and view the deal of the day for that area. They are encouraged to purchase the deal of the day and spread news about it to social networking websites in order to encourage more people to make purchases. A minimum number of purchases is required in order for the deal of the day to be accepted. Art & Logic also developed the administrative back-end, which allows maintaining the bargains by area, user account information, and more. The web application is built with Ruby on Rails, with a MySQL database backend.
