Art & Logic developed the Live Media Desk application which enables real-time collaboration of photo shoots between photographers and editors. As photographers upload images, they become immediately available to editors working remotely to filter, adjust, rank, edit metadata, and forward images. With Live Media Desk, images can go from a photographer's camera at an event to the desk of an editor then published to a public web site within minutes.

NBCU admins determine access restrictions for registered users, such as how many images per month a user may download or whether they can use a credit card to purchase licenses.

Vantage Point Media hired Art & Logic to create an interactive Flash application to allow visitors to their site configure the Evo Wall System product. The Evo Wall System consists of mounting hardware, horizontal and vertical mounting rails, decorative tiles, shelves, white boards, chalk boards, and numerous other options to be released to market. WallCustomizer is a Flash application with a sliding list of Evo System components represented as thumbnail images. User select a tiles which are placed on the wall by the application. Colors, wood grains, textures, etc can be selected by the user. Components may be dragged from a sliding list and placed on the grid. In addition to the Evo System components users can also select items such as flat panel TVs, DVD players, speakers, etc. and place them on the wall grid. When satisfied they can save the design and print out a shopping list of components required to construct the layout. In addition to the Flash front end, A&L also produced a web admin interface for maintaining the components in a MySQL database that were accessible to the Flash application.

Daily News Pix is the photo archive of New York's Daily News, showcasing 90 years of images from the tabloid. Art & Logic developed this web site for Lightbox Network. Users can browse for images by category or search for images and may purchase professional, framed prints. Media users may register and license images for publication, and the tools in Daily News Pix allow an administrative user to invoice license holders, review and update print orders, and manage royalties for contributing photographers, as well as customize the home page and other site content.

After the initial phase we developed a website and a mobile WAP site, which serve as entertainment resource gateways. We also developed an SMS subscriber list management tool, and a number of web services and Flash/HTML widgets that can be embedded in other sites. More recently, we created an iPhone version of the WAP site, where users can look up movie showtimes, view entertainment news and gossip, or information about the films themselves. We have also added a feature where SMS or Flash requests can triggered a return voice message, and added an online community to the WAP site.

iTrain is a website that sells downloadable music for workouts. Art & Logic was responsible for all aspects of the project, including user interface design, layout, and construction; administrative tools, setting up e-commerce, testing, and project management. Most of the user interface is done in Flash. The server-side code is PHP/MySQL. There are multiple servers, with load balancing. You'll need to register to get a password to log into the site. Registering is quick, simple, and free.

Art & Logic developed all the back-end code (PHP), including database (MySQL), administrative tools, reports, and a custom content management system. Given the enormous load on the site, the key challenges were to develop a system that could handle this much traffic while also providing the flexibility for Oakley to update the site frequently. There's quite a bit of complex business logic that's not immediately apparent from looking at the site. For example, specials on sunglasses in Australia occur at a different time of the year than specials here in the U.S., because of the opposite seasons in the southern hemisphere.
