Web-based DMS for Motorola

screenshot

Motorola's SURFboard wireless cable modem incorporates gateway, firewall, VPN, and WEP security features. Art & Logic developed an API which allowed cable service providers to customize the interface at runtime, selectively hiding and showing content and changing fields to read/write or read-only. The interface was integrated with a customized version of the GoAhead Webserver and Art & Logic's own Device Management Framework.

Web Interface for System 5000 Router

screenshot

Before Bay Networks was acquired by Nortel in 1998 their in-house team experimented with developing a web-based management system for their System 5000. They concluded that the project was quite different from a traditional web design project. When they searched for an outside team with the right specialization Art & Logic got the call. Starting with the in-progress system, Art & Logic added the Advanced JavaScript Control Suite, giving the interface cross-browser compatibility and a palette of controls suited to device management. Nortel requested graphics and usability enhancements. more...

Ground-breaking Network Device Management System Under pSOS for Flagship Product

screenshot

In 1996, managing a networking device with a web browser was almost unheard of. Sonoma Systems, later acquired by Nortel, chose Art & Logic for our strong object-oriented capabilities. The embedded solution created by Art & Logic "solved the problem behind the problem," in the words of the client. The project involved close interaction with the OS vendor (ISI) because Art & Logic engineers were pushing their pSOS C++ compiler farther than anyone had before. Art & Logic created an HTML tagging language, wrote the embedded code to implement it, and coded the HTML files to use the new language. more...
