Leggett & Platt® contracted us to create an iPhone and iPod touch interface to their Prodigy™ line of adjustable beds. The app communicates with the bed over an ad hoc WiFi network and is used to control the different parts of the bed such as the head & foot position, presets, and massagers.

Vantage Point Media hired Art & Logic to create an interactive Flash application to allow visitors to their site configure the Evo Wall System product. The Evo Wall System consists of mounting hardware, horizontal and vertical mounting rails, decorative tiles, shelves, white boards, chalk boards, and numerous other options to be released to market. WallCustomizer is a Flash application with a sliding list of Evo System components represented as thumbnail images. User select a tiles which are placed on the wall by the application. Colors, wood grains, textures, etc can be selected by the user. Components may be dragged from a sliding list and placed on the grid. In addition to the Evo System components users can also select items such as flat panel TVs, DVD players, speakers, etc. and place them on the wall grid. When satisfied they can save the design and print out a shopping list of components required to construct the layout. In addition to the Flash front end, A&L also produced a web admin interface for maintaining the components in a MySQL database that were accessible to the Flash application.

Users can define a variety of preset positions from closed to full recline.

RFID Scanning Solution for Manufacturer of Theatrical Lighting Equipment

Wybron, Inc. hired Art & Logic to develop an RFID scanning solution to enhance product manufacturing processes at their Colorado Springs plant. The application was written in Java and deployed on Mac OS X. Phillips RFID tags are attached to theatrical gels. The application encodes information about the sequence of colors on the strings and allows personnel to track the product through to shipment.

Non-destructive Ultrasonic Testing Software for Krautkramer Branson

Art & Logic developed a Windows application that interfaces to Krautkramer Branson's proprietary ultrasonic test hardware. The software package provides high speed analog and digital data acquisition, automatic flaw detection and measurement, pass/fail indications, and a sophisticated real-time data display. The package can be configured for a variety of manufacturing applications including aircraft turbine blades, ERW pipe, and diesel pistons.

Neon Sign Design and Animation Control Software for Fluid Light Technologies

Art & Logic created both Windows and Mac OS versions of "NeonCAD". Users can design arbitrarily complex neon signs using the CAD tools provided, and animate those signs using the client's proprietary neon control technology that allows light to appear to move through a neon tube. The animation patterns may be previewed on the computer. The resulting sign layouts can be printed for sign fabricators, and the animation control data can be saved to the client's neon controller hardware for deployment.

Paint Mixing Application

Project Paint Research contacted Art & Logic to create a Windows CE application to look up paint mix formulas. Users can select a make, model, year, and manufacturer's paint color or code. The CE application searches Project Paint's database for the equivalent color and provides the formula to mix the color. The application works on Windows Mobile devices.

Spa Controller for Balboa Instruments

Balboa wanted to optimize their PIC-18-based spa control system for testability and improve quality while decreasing maintenance time. Art & Logic performed a review of the old code, extracted important segments and design structures that represented a large investment for Balboa, then restructured the design to meet the new goals. Art & Logic also implemented the new code for both the PIC system and a Windows-based simulator that allows testing the timing of system events at 5-times normal speed.

Tally Parser for Kalypso Video Production Center

Tally Display hired Art & Logic to add support for the Kalypso Switcher to their Real-time Tally Display Suite of On-Air tally indicators for Under-Monitor Displays. Art & Logic's previous experience with the Kalypso Switcher allowed them to complete the tally protocol parser ahead of schedule and with no defects. Art & Logic also supported Tally Display in the field and again when support for the Zodiak switcher was added.

Declarations Form Entry System

We created a service that lets parts makers complete the complex IPX1752 reporting form, that previously required hundreds of cells to be completed individually in forms declaring all the parts and materials in all forms of electronics. For example, if you are a hard drive manufacturer (one of their customers), you have to declare thousands of parts and substances in your product. Rather than do that manually, this site helps you manage that process.
