ONYX Graphics hired Art & Logic to redesign their print management client application. We developed a contemporary UI focusing on integrating ONYX's new branding, while supporting new application functionality, with a clean, user-friendly, sophisticated user experience. Once the design phase was completed, ONYX requested we work closely with their team to code behavior and and to integrate the completed UI with their back-end.

NBCUPhotobank.com was developed by Art & Logic for Lightbox Network to deliver selected content from NBC's digital asset management application, also developed by Art & Logic for Lightbox Network, to media outlets and publications. Media users can browse or search the site for celebrity images and shows from any NBCU network and register to gain access to high-res content. NBCU admins determine access restrictions for registered users, such as how many images per month a user may download or whether they can use a credit card to purchase licenses.

The web application is built with Ruby on Rails, with a MySQL database backend.

Daily News Pix is the photo archive of New York's Daily News, showcasing 90 years of images from the tabloid. Art & Logic developed this web site for Lightbox Network. Users can browse for images by category or search for images and may purchase professional, framed prints. Media users may register and license images for publication, and the tools in Daily News Pix allow an administrative user to invoice license holders, review and update print orders, and manage royalties for contributing photographers, as well as customize the home page and other site content.

TurboGears Web application for delivering entertaining messages by phone

Art & Logic was hired to realize the client's vision of a fun web app for sending prerecorded messages by phone. This included professionally produced messages on a variety of themes, such as "you're a terrible boss", "my team beat your team", and "I'm sorry". The system allowed the administrator to customize the content, and the user to manage their orders in detail.

MedExpress is a fast-growing company managing patient medical records for an increasing number of clients extending across multiple states in the US. In addition to collecting and storing patient medical records, MedExpress handles requests from patients or their representatives for copies of personal healthcare documents. Before engaging Art & Logic, they struggled with the ability to track these requests. It is particularly important for them to be able to produce reports which indicate clearly a complete audit trail of a request from start to fulfillment. This report must also indicate exactly what personal healthcare documents had been delivered to the requester. MedExpress engaged Art & Logic to develop for them a web-based application, written in PHP and leveraging the Yii framework. This application will be used by multiple groups of users within the MedExpress organization to enter and then procress a request through the required workflow. Authentication is provided through an interface to the organizations LDAP system. Email notifications, using customizable templates are used to alert employees when a request has changed status, and needs some attention. The application allows for the upload and storage of scanned medical documents as well as the initial requests and any supporting documentation. Security levels ensure that only the appropriately authorized individuals have access to sensitive medical information throughout the process. The system assists in the generation of invoices and the tracking of those invoices and payments. In addition the system provides a feature which tracks attempts by workers to contact the initial requester for additional information if required. Once the requested healthcare documents have been gathered the system tracks the delivery method and confirmation of delivery. A report can be generated which details the particulars of an individual request as well as a listing of the documents that were delivered to the requester.
