3Pm Studios hired Art & Logic to develop Henry & Hailey's Preschool Pals, a children's mix-n-match game that became a runaway hit after its debut on the iTunes App Store. Players select a "pal" and listen to them talk about what they like to do. After learning about the character, the child matches the head with the corresponding body and feet. Leggett & Platt® contracted us to create an iPhone and iPod touch interface to their Prodigy™ line of adjustable beds. The app communicates with the bed over an ad hoc WiFi network and is used to control the different parts of the bed such as the head & foot position, presets, and massagers.
Universal Watch Company hired Art & Logic to develop a virtual jewelry catalog for their line of Boccia watches and jewelry. This free application allows them to reach a new market in a contemporary and effective manner, and even supports direct product purchase from within the app.
Sterling Publishing Co. is one of the world's leading publishers of nonfiction titles with more than 5000 books in print. Sterling hired Art & Logic to develop HappyHour, an iPhone application featuring thousands of drink recipes from 10,000 Drinks, a book by Paul Knorr. Users manipulate spinner wheels and use the iPhone's motion sensors to search by liquors, mixers, and beverage types.
Art & Logic was hired by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) to create an iPad version of their Duct Sizing Calculator device. The application consists of high-resolution scanned images of both sides of the calculator device which are implemented as stacked images that can rotate over the top of one another so that the user can interact with the calculator via iPad gestures in exactly the same way as they would use the analog version of the device.
Beat Kangz Electronics, LLC partnered with Art & Logic to create PlayaThang and PlayaThang Free. PlayaThang offers simple playback of 20 high quality professional beats (3 in the FREE version). Christopher A. Joseph Associates hired Art & Logic to develop a native iPhone application that displays information on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The data is derived from the client's web site. The CEQA app is used by CEQA practitioners, lawyers, students, and others interested in environmental and land use law.
E-MU Systems hired Art & Logic to implement two dialogs for their new software sampler. The dialogs went beyond simply picking files and allowed users to manually or automatically create regions, lay out the samples or regions on the keyboard, and preview their work. This project had Art & Logic tightly integrating into E-MU's development environment using a VPN for direct access to their CVS archives while working directly with E-MU engineers on common code. Art & Logic was hired by Yamaha to port the Windows version of Music in Education™ to a native Cocoa application for Mac OS X. The MIE system includes 16 MIE keyboards linked with MIDI to the MIE software running on a G4 Macintosh computer. The software provides a hands-on learning experience for students while freeing the instructor to move among the students while accessing accompaniments and music samples via a wireless remote control system.
Poddio is an audio recording and editing application for iPhone and iPod touch from Vericorder Technology, Inc. The app is a fully integrated professional quality recording studio used by journalists and others in the broadcasting industry. Art & Logic's expertise in iPhone development and in Core Audio were key to the success of this project.
Art & Logic worked with ParkVu to complete the Mac version of their iTunes Library monitoring code. This code is a critical component of a system that wirelessly synchronizes a user's media collection with their smartphone.
Wingman is an iPhone app that generates pickup lines based on user input for several categories (Face/Body/Intelligence, etc). The application selects a pickup line based on the point value of each of the user selections. The Lite version randomizes the selections, not allowing user choice. In the full version, the user can take a photo or choose an image from their photo library to replace the "girl" image on the pickup line screen.

DaVita hired Art & Logic to build an iPhone version of their online Flash-based GFR Calculator. DaVita provides dialysis services for people diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. They also provide a number of online tools to assist people on dialysis. One of those tools is a Glomerular Filtration Rate calculator, otherwise known as the GFR Calculator. NeoWave Institute hired Art & Logic to develop one of the first socially responsible iPhone apps to allow a user to reach out to family, friends or a cab to request a ride when a designated driver becomes necessary. A user can configure Designated Driver to send messages to up to 5 recipients. Each message includes a call back number and a Google Map link to the user's location. Alternatively, the user can click a button to contact a national taxi service to request a taxi if friends are not available or not willing to come get them.
Virgin HealthMiles hired Art & Logic to port their existing Windows-based GoZone iSync software to Macintosh. Virgin's GoZone pedometers connect via USB to a user's computer. The software retrieves data from the pedometer and uploads it to the Virgin Health Miles website. The number of steps you take each day is rewarded at certain daily level of activity.
PasturePool.com enables golfers to track their golf scores, handicap, greens in regulation, putts, up/down percentage, and more. The PasturePool native iPhone application allows PasturePool subscribers to record their golf rounds while offline, and then upload them to the PasturePool.com website where they are available for reporting and analysis.
