The "Beat Thang" Groovebox Software

Beat Kangz Electronics hired Art & Logic to create the firmware for the Beat Thang, a new groovebox aimed at the hip hop market. The project also includes a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) plugin for Mac OS X and Windows called the Beat Thang Virtual. It is available at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and online.

Drivers and applications for Alesis Studio Electronics

Art & Logic developed sample accurate Mac OS and Windows ASIO drivers for the Alesis ADAT-PCR PCI card, as well as the Windows MME MIDI and audio driver, and Mac OS Sound Manager and OMS drivers. To support this work we designed and maintained an SDK that allows third-party developers to interface to the card. Art & Logic developed sample accurate Mac OS and Windows ASIO drivers for the Alesis ADAT-PCR PCI card, as well as the Windows MME MIDI and audio driver, and Mac OS Sound Manager and OMS drivers. To support this work we designed and maintained an SDK that allows third-party developers to interface to the card. In addition, Art & Logic developed the cross-platform (Mac OS and Windows) "ADAT Connect" application that supports the sample accurate bi-directional transfer of audio data between the computer's hard disk and an ADAT. Art & Logic also maintained and helped to develop Sound Bridge, a cross-platform sample librarian for the QS and DMPro families of synthesizers, and even created a utility that is used in-house by Alesis for production testing of the ADAT-PCR card.

Mac OS Audio Drivers for Gadget Labs

Art & Logic developed the Mac OS ASIO driver for Gadget Labs' Wave/824 PCI audio card. Using our proprietary audio driver framework, we also created an OMS MIDI driver and a control panel application.
