ExonHit Therapeutics, Inc., a world-leading company in the field of alternative RNA splicing, hired Art & Logic to extend the capabilities of their in-house gene profiling tool. Originally developed as an Excel spreadsheet, the tool had reached the performance and data limits of the technology. Art & Logic developed a VB.NET application, using an MSDE backend, to replace and enhance the functionality of ExonHit's tool. It was ExonHit's desire to continue long term maintenance of the new tool, so Art & Logic included extensive commenting and documentation to provide ExonHit's in-house developers with the information needed to maintain and enhance the application without further assistance from Art & Logic. more...

Lightbox Network, Inc. hired Art & Logic to develop a Windows version of its media manager application. Live allows photographers to do "live" shoots with a tethered camera, such that images and movies can be processed and uploaded to the Lightbox server as the shoot is happening. Editors and the like can then see virtually real-time progress of the shoot online and interact by requesting larger versions of the captured media and beginning work on the post process. Images and video can also be manually uploaded, and all uploads are managed via an upload manager.
